With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season beginning, I decided to take a little break this week and spend the day with my princess. It’s not often that we get some one-on-one time, so we took full advantage of the mommy-and-me girl time.

The agenda was completely up to her, and her requests for our day together couldn’t have made me more proud to be her mom.

All she wanted to do was go shopping to pick out her gifts for our family and a gift for her school’s angel tree program. Melt. My. Heart.

Guess those Little Acts of Kindness lessons are paying off! #MommyWin

Seriously though, how can you say no to that? Even my husband was on board for this Tanger trip.

A budding Tanger Fashionista, she insisted that she get all dressed up to go to “mommy’s work”. I have to hand it to her, she’s a natural at this.

This also gave me the perfect opportunity to sport my holiday pastels. Who says that spring gets to have all the fun with pastels anyway?

Check out this comfy-casual outfit and the gorgeous, sweet shades that make my heart skip a beat. They’re totally my Christmas candy crush this season!

We checked off all the names on her list and found the perfect gift for her angel tree pick…a combination of warm winter gear for a deserving little girl!

As a special treat for her thoughtfulness, I also planned a surprise mani/pedi for the two of us, then we saw Trolls…which she’s been begging to see.

The day was as much for me as it was for her. But it was perfect and so worth it to break away from the day-to-day and just spend time with my girl.

I hope you mommas can stop and spend a moment or two with your littles this season. Afterall, they’re what make the holidays (and everything else) totally worth it.
